There are some people out there who, when you walk away from a conversation with them, your head is spinning, positively buzzing and brimming with new ideas, things to think about, and inspiration. Sean Prentiss is the author of Finding Abbey: A Search for Edward Abbey and His Hidden Grave. He is a National Outdoor Book Award winner, a Utah Book Award winner, a New Mexico and Arizona Book Award winner, and a Vermont and Colorado Book Awards finalist. He is also the co-author of Environmental and Nature Writing: A Craft Guide and Anthology and co-editor of The Far Edges of the Fourth Genre, which focuses on creative non-fiction.

I’ve reviewed this podcast by Sean Prentiss on using place as a character. Even though I’m writing a romance, I can see where place can play an important part in my story.
